Wednesday night's PowerBall drawing matched a ticket purchased at Lux Oil on South County Trail.
Happy news for a PowerBall ticket holder who bought his or her ticket at Lux Oil in East Greenwich this week – $1 million worth of happy news. The PowerBall drawing Wednesday night pulled two winning Rhode Island-purchased numbers, including the East Greenwich one. The other prize, $10,000, is for a ticket purchased at Chelo's, 505 Silver Spring Street, Providence. As of 12:30 p.m. Thursday, neither prize had been claimed. The $1 million ticket matched five numbers but not the PowerBall number, for the standard payout of $1 million, the Rhode Island Lottery announced Thursday. If the Power Play feature was added for an extra dollar, the prize would have doubled. Luk Oil gas station is located at 3333 South County Trail, near the border …

With the jackpot now up to $550 million, it seems everyone is playing the lottery today.
He walked into East Greenwich Farms after noon on Wednesday wearing a nice suit and a large gold ring, and carrying a fistful of dollars. The winner - who bought the ticket on Saturday - has yet to claim the prize.
Employees at Richard's Restaurant and Pub on South County Trail had only one thing to say they learned that someone had won $200,000 from a PowerBall ticket bought there on Saturday. "It wasn't me," said more than one person forlornly on Tuesday. The Rhode Island Lottery doesn't know who it is yet either. But another winning PowerBall ticket was sold in nearby Warwick. That ticket - bought at Mega Milk Mart on West Shore Road - was claimed earlier today. According to the RI Lottery website, the $200,000 winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall number. The winner did not purchase the PowerPlay feature. It the person had, the prize would have automaticallty become a $1 million prize. On the other hand, the Warwick …
