ReplyThank you Heather... The point of my blog was to make people aware of the issues and maybe bring to the parents attention their dangerous habits, for lack of a better word. Polite discourse, not name calling or mud slinging is how we as adults should be behaving. Hence, why I have not responded to many comments.. This is not a contest, it was created to bring community awareness to the Cole parents.. which it has!

Originally I was not going to reply to this comment. I wrote in all caps to make a point that it is the parents who need to follow the rules, the safety rules, and while changing the in and out , or entrance and exit of the school may help, it is we as parents, as adults who need to follow. the rules.. for all of our children's safety... This is not just about my kids, but all of our kids. Mrs Meyer has sent numerous e-mail reminders about the procedure for drop off and see that she just sent another tonight. I am glad.. maybe some polite discourse on the EG Patch will get parents to step up to the plate and follow the rules.. for all of our children;s safety sake.

PT Mom- I have 2 children who go to Cole and often car pool my neighbors as well. It is a single lane, no passing on the left so they students can get out on the car which ever side they are sitting. . I did state in my original blog some readers would feel this way, but I am not breaking any rules. I pulled all the way forward, allowed the students to get out on the side of the car which they were seated, and properly. What if one of our Cole students, maybe your student happens to slip slipped on the snowy pavement and slides under the passing car's tires? My point is that we as parents need to follow the rules...simply stated...1) pull all the way forward, 2) single file,3) no passing on the left.. This is not just about my kids, it is about all of our kids safety.

There are teachers out there, every day, and don't notice or ignore it.

THE PROBLEM IS PARENTS NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES! THAT LITTLE BIT OF WALK IS HOW FAR, AND SOMEONE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE AT THE END OF THE LINE... AND SEND YOUR BILL FOR WHAT?

Stealing is not the answer, no matter what the reason! There are plenty of social service agencies and organizations out there to help those in need. So instead of being maybe a bit "embarrassed " to ask for help, she now has a police record. Great role model for that baby!

What will we do with the current green and blue recycle bins? We currently have 3 of each.
