ReplyThank you, Mark (nice pun). I have to say that it's pretty exciting and scary cruising around town snapping pictures of the flora. Exciting because it's like a treasure hunt. Scary because I never know when a home owner is going to run out with a broom to shoo me away thinking I'm a Private Investigator. Ah, the thrilling life of a journalist!

ReplyIt's reassuring to see that we are still near the top, as we should be. As a person familiar with Quality Systems in industry, I would be concerned if my factory was manufacturing a product with a 5 percent failure rate. Perhaps some evaluation as to how we might prevent approximately 10 kids per year from not graduating each year.

Thank you, Mark. We had targeted a few trees ahead of time and the I discovered the rest while driving around town. It was fortunate that yesterday morning was sunny to give a dramatic lighting effect. A couple of home owners must have been amused to see me lying on my back taking shots up the trees, but one does what they must to get the best shot. I could have taken many more pictures, but there's always next year;-)

Yesterday's and today's features were designed to focus on a challenging aspect of the opening - how to ensure an efficient and effective drop-off and pick-up took place. They accurately reflected the plan drawn up by school officials and the cooperation and coordination between the police, bus drivers, students, and parents to execute the plan. Happily, the video was boring because everything went well - we believed that would be reassuring to our viewers.
We will also be covering the open house on Wednesday and have more pictures and videos of the new facilities.

ReplyWe adopted sister & brother kittens from the EGAPL last year and they have been wonderful company for each other and us. The hard part was deciding from all of the compelling candidates which two to choose. Being litter mates, Pancakes (girl) and Waffles (boy) constantly play together and regularly sleep curled-up around each other.

ReplyThe snow removal began promptly at 11 and ended right at 6 a.m. - I could tell because the DPW trucks roll past my house on the way to the Greenwich Cove Municipal Overlook which is just on the other side of my next door neighbor. The noise from their activity at the GCMO was evident but not significant enough to disrupt our sleep. A win-win for all involved. Thank you, DPW.
