It's Best Buddies Time!
It’s that time of year again! The EGHS chapter of Best Buddies is preparing for the exciting year ahead! On Friday September 13, Best Buddies will be holding an informational meeting immediately following school in the Cafeteria. Any student is more than welcome to attend. Whether you have participated in the past or are looking for a fun new way to spend your time, please come check out EGHS Best Buddies! We are always happy to gain new members.
Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization that creates one-to-one friendships between students who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and volunteers who do not. The main goals of the organization are to create integration, friendships, and fun. Being involved is a highly rewarding experience as many strong friendships are formed and there are many exciting opportunities open to participants.
To any East Greenwich High School students who think that Best Buddies sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please come to the meeting! And to any parents who think your son or daughter would enjoy being a member, please encourage them to come!
