EG College Grads And Dean’s Lists, Spring 2013, Part 4

EG Patch posts college graduations and honors on a semi-annual basis.

The following East Greenwich residents graduated from Stonehill College: Elizabeth Perkins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and JoAnna Steere earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

On a morning marked by wispy clouds in a blue sky, more than 21,000 people -- graduates and their families and friends -- braved gale force winds to celebrate the University of Delaware's 164th Commencement, held Saturday, May 25, at Delaware Stadium. Graduating students from our area included: Bryan Gilday and Chelsea Leach.

Megan Godfrey of East Greenwich, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Plymouth State University at its 142nd Commencement ceremony on May 18, 2013.

William "Will" L. Kimbell III graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science, Marketing, Magna Cum Laude, in May 2013. He was also named to the JWU Dean's List honors for all three terms for school years 2011-12 and 2012-13, and summer term 2012.

More than 3,000 students graduated from Tufts University on May 19, 2013. The graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering included: John Lewis of East Greenwich, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology.

Nathanial Patterson, a resident of East Greenwich, graduated from Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences with a major in Writing. The degree was awarded in May 2013.

Nicole A. Quirk of East Greenwich earned Dean's List honors at Saint Joseph's University for the Spring 2013 semester. Nicole is majoring in Sociology at the University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean's List status for a semester.

Villanova University named the following East Greenwich students to the Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester: Christine Surabian, who is studying Accountancy in the Villanova School of Business; Stephen Marcaccio, who is studying Biology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Katherine Boyarsky, who is studying Communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Alexandra Thomas, who is studying Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; and Sara Becker, who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Engineering, Villanova University Dean's List recipients are honored by their college's respective dean. To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.The College of Nursing requires students to earn at least a 3.5 for the academic year.

Haley M. Falkenberry, of East Greenwich, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2013 semester at the University of Vermont. Falkenberry is a senior Global Studies major in the College of Arts & Sciences. To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester at Assumption College: Kyle Dubuc, class of 2014; Rebecca Jacobsonclass of 2014; and Lauren Mason, class of 2014. To make the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

Alexis Ceasrine has made the Spring 2013 Dean's List at Hofstra University. Alexis, Class of 2013, is majoring in biology .

Megan Godfrey has been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the spring 2013 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the spring 2013 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. These credit hours must be in courses that earn grade points and the student must have completed all such courses attempted.

Jason Perelman of East Greenwich, a senior Management & Leadership major, has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester in the College of Business Administration at Rider University.
